Astra

Astra, an affordable housing project adjacent to Solera in Renton, is designed to serve families. The project features 275 units, 406 parking stalls, and 12,000 SF of commercial space. Astra has several 4-bedroom units, creating a design challenge for us and demanding extra resourcefulness in building shape and unit design. The amenities and commercial tenants were chosen to serve families with an indoor basketball court, a tot lot, an off-leash pet area, a commercial daycare facility, and an eye doctor. Astra serves 60% AMI and is built to the Evergreen Sustainable Development Standard with heat pump water heaters and solar panels on the roof.
